Florida Surf Film Festival is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, public charity, invigorating surf culture and artistic appreciation by exhibiting contemporary documentary films with surfing as a focus and preserving narrative from artists far and wide while also producing a story-driven podcast, literary group discussions, and artistic workshops. FSFF has been a long time favorite of SBS Team Riders, and every year we love attending their events at the Atlantic Center for The Arts; We always leave with the coolest swag and an appreciation for new art in the surf community.

Aloha! My name is Sandy, and I am the owner/operator of Sandy Beach Surfing, LLC, a local surf school based in Cocoa Beach. Sandy Beach Surfing was formally established in 2010 in Cape Canaveral, and has since operated along the Space Coast beaches offering services to locals,
tourists, and students alike.
SBS offers private/semi-private surf lessons, photography services, corporate and student team building, and a limited number of Surf N’ Science summer camps each year;
However, setting those things aside, our main focus is to create and nurture a surf team each season.
Team Sandy Beach Surfing is comprised of local kids, all ages (our youngest at the moment is
5 years old, and the oldest is 15), and all demographics. We meet monthly for surf practice, with
an end goal of each team rider participating in the NKF Rich Salick Pro/Am Surf Fest on
Labor Day weekend and the NKF Team Event held in November. Often this is the first time
our students have ever been involved in a surf contest, or any large community event.
Along the way, our lessons involve teaching sportsmanship, what and how to be involved
in community projects, and introduces the children to local environmental conservation efforts.
We are asking local businesses and friends to consider a 2024 Team SBS Sponsorship.
Sponsorship donations help us provide more experiences and equipment for the kids. With
your help we are able to update and maintain equipment, pay entry fees, legal fees, travel fees,
coaches/mentors, provide the team with “swag” (shirts, rashguards), assist families of all income
levels, and involve the team in different surf related functions. This year, in addition
to the NKF contest, we are planning sea oat planting, stake painting for dune fencing, a surf
movie night (the venue is in New Symrna Beach), and a trip to a surfboard shaping factory.
Your generosity and support of our young Sandy Beach Team Riders is very much appreciated.
