SBS MENEHUNE WARRIORS
The Menehune Warriors are the heart of Team SBS — our youth surf team built around consistency, community, and growing together over time.
This group is made up of returning SBS surfers who have spent years in the water with us, learning not just how to surf, but how to support one another, respect the ocean, and show up as part of a team. The Menehune Warriors represent dedication, encouragement, and the shared experience of growing up through surfing.
Team SBS has never been about chasing podiums or building an elite pipeline. Instead, the Menehune Warriors focus on confidence, camaraderie, and participation in meaningful local traditions — including the NKF Team Event — as a way to celebrate the season together.
2026 Team Update
For the 2026 season, the Menehune Warriors team is closed to new participants. This allows us to keep the group consistent, support returning surfers, and maintain the close-knit dynamic that makes Team SBS special.
Families interested in future team opportunities are encouraged to stay connected through Surf N’ Science Camp and SBS programs, where surfers naturally grow into team readiness over time.

New in 2026: Rad Dads & Low-key Legends
This year, we’re excited to introduce a brand-new addition to Team SBS — our Rad Dads & Low-Key Legends Team.
Created for fathers, uncles, and longtime supporters of the SBS community, this group celebrates the grown-ups who have been cheering from the beach, helping behind the scenes, and quietly keeping the stoke alive for years. Some are lifelong surfers, some are getting back in the water after a long break — all are here for the love of the ocean and the community.
The Rad Dads & Low-Key Legends team embodies everything SBS stands for: encouragement over ego, shared waves, and showing the next generation that surfing is something you can carry with you for life.
We’re proud to have this inaugural group joining us as part of the 2026 NKF Team Event and SBS surf family.
