We ARE bringing back, (by extremely popular demand!) our Surf N Science Camp, "A Science Camp with a Surfing Problem!".
This is a weekly VIP Experience for surfers ages 6 and older. We are taking groups of up to 10 surfers on 5 day Surf N Science Excursions. (3:1 Surfer/Instructor Ratio) Each day, (depending on weather and conditions), we travel to a different surf location ranging from Sebastian Inlet to Ponce Inlet. Our home beach is Cocoa Beach. At each location we will get the opportunity to not only catch some waves, but also have hands-on learning experiences about our local marine life, dune system, and much more.
The number of surfers are limited so that each camper has a VIP Experience, 1 on 1 coaching, surfing and learning with us.
Hours are 8am to 3pm.
We meet at 945 Samar Rd, Cocoa Beach every morning between 7:45am and 8:00am, leave at 8:00am!
We will return by 2:30pm, pickups by 3:00pm.
**If you are unable to pick-up by 3:00pm we offer drop-off within 20 miles of Cocoa Beach for a $50 flat fee per week, (one or all days).**
What to Bring:
Packed Lunch, Drinks/Water Bottle, Towel, Footwear, Camp Shirt/Rashguard, Sunblock, Hat and Sunglasses (if you wish), and Swim Suit, Water Shoes for Sebastian Inlet.
The locations that *can* be visited during the week will be:
Sebastian Inlet St Park w/ Barrier Island Sanctuary and Moo’s Ice Cream
-On the way to Sebastian Inlet we swing into the Barrier Island Sanctuary
-Once at Sebastian we spend half the day on the river side exploring the wildlife and rocks with masks and snorkels, eat lunch, and then move to the ocean side for surfing.
-On the way home, Ice Cream at Moo's!!
Ponce Inlet with Lighthouse Tour and Marine Science Center
-The day starts with the Lighthouse Tour at Ponce Inlet, and then moves to the Marine Science Center
-After we've had enough SCIENCE for the day, we will hit the beach and surf by the jetty.
New Smyrna Beach and Flagler Ave
-New Smyrna we drive on the beach and set up for the day
-After lunch we walk a small portion of Flagler Ave and visit the surf shops, and hit the ice cream shop before heading home!
Jetty Park
-Wildlife and cruise ship watching from the Jetty and then a fun local surf day. Tour the jetty by foot AND by air. This year we are adding a Helicopter Tour this day!
We will begin the day at Cocoa Beach Helicopters and after everyone has had an opportunity to go for the tour, we will head to the beach!
Canaveral National Seashore (Playalinda Beach) and Welcome Center
-This is the most remote beach on our list, (nothing present but restrooms)
-First stop is at the Welcome Center to check out their sea turtle exhibit, and other animals, then on to surf the rest of the day away. We will stop to see the rockets on their launch pads along the way!
Slater Way in Cocoa Beach
-True local vibes this day, surf the waves and learn the basics on our home break. Additionally, children learn and practice CPR and First Aid skills on the beach this day!
